Happy Friday! WHAT A WEEK!

We did it, Minnesota. On Tuesday, August 1, we became the 23rd state to legalize adult-use cannabis, and I -and many of you, and so many others - celebrated down at First Avenue.

There is much to come as we write the story of Minnesota's cannabis industry, but I am proud of where we have come and where we are going.

Client Happy Hour Success

Thank you again to everyone who came out to our first happy hour specifically for our cannabis clients and friends! Great conversations were had and connections were made.

Legal Updates

The brief registration required of all businesses selling hemp-derived cannabis is now available from the state here. It is due October 1, 2023.

We're seeing initial crackdowns, as predicted, on unlicensed sellers of cannabis and plants (Links here and here). Though seed sales seem to be straightened out for now (short version: have a licensed seed labeler involved), I expect more guidance from the state on sales/transfers of plants for home grow.
